I had the chance to work with an amazing mother-daughter duo recently at The Tx Studio in Oak Cliff. When Andrea initially told me about her idea to do portraits with her daughter she was ecstatic. She told me they hadn’t taken pictures together for quite some time and she wanted to do something fun. It didn’t take long to come up with something for the two selfie queens after I had a chance to pick her brain and see what kind of ideas she had in mind. I mentioned The Tx Studio in Oak Cliff which is a natural light studio space. The light that poured into that building was nothing less than marvelous. I don’t shoot in a studio setting often, but I absolutely loved this venue. It will definitely be a treat if you get the opportunity to have portraits taken there or hold an event.
The ladies got their outfits coordinated, hair and makeup done, brought props and music to the studio along with anything else you can think of. They were ready for action! I think Simone actually forgot she was there for an actual portrait session though, lol! I had to practically tear her away from her phone and the mirror! Teens…help me somebody! My camera was getting jealous and I was ready to capture these two pretty ladies.
After I managed to get everyone’s attention I was able to get some great images. The ambient light was superb and the ladies had great energy in front of the camera. I’m happy that Andrea allowed me the opportunity to photograph she and her daughter. I could tell they enjoyed themselves and that’s what matters when it all boils down. Take a look at our session and leave a comment. Thanks!
